Where is the tourist office in Piazza Maggiore?

On the square itself. Bologna Welcome, the city’s official tourist office, is at Piazza Maggiore 1/e, on the ground floor of Palazzo del Podestà, the building on the north side with the big vaulted passage running through it.

As of October 2026 it opens Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 19:00, and on Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 17:00. The ticket desk inside closes earlier: 18:30 Monday to Saturday and 16:30 on Sundays and holidays.
